DemoTransfers is a demonstration website. It is operated by FareBookings to show its booking system in a realistic setting. Data submitted through this site is handled by FareBookings as described below.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
When you request a quote or make a booking
- Journey details: pickup and destination addresses, date, time, passenger and luggage numbers.
- Contact details: name, email address and telephone number.
- Travel details you choose to give us, such as a flight number.
- Payment confirmation. Card details are entered on the payment provider's secure page and are not stored on our servers.
When you use the contact form
- Your name, email address, telephone number if you provide one, and the content of your message.
- The time of submission and the IP address the message was sent from, used to reduce spam.
Automatically, when you browse
- Standard server log data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps.
- Cookies strictly necessary to make the booking flow work. We do not run advertising cookies on this site.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide the transfer you booked — performance of a contract.
- To answer your enquiry — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
- The driver assigned to your journey, who receives what is needed to complete the pickup.
- Our payment provider, which processes the transaction.
- Our hosting and email providers, acting on our instructions.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Where your data is held
Data is stored on servers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside these areas, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
How long we keep it
- Booking records: six years, to meet accounting requirements.
- Contact form messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Server logs: up to 12 months.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data, where we have no overriding reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send your data to another provider in a portable format;
- withdraw consent, where consent was the basis for processing.
To request deletion, use the delete my data form, or email info@farebookings.com. We respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies needed for the booking flow to function, such as keeping your journey details together between steps. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the booking form will not work correctly without them.
Third-party services on this site
The booking form is served by FareBookings from app.farebookings.com. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and a resizing script from cdnjs.cloudflare.com; both receive your IP address as part of delivering those files. Their own privacy terms apply to that processing.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Please check back when you use the site again.
