DemoTransfers does not trade. It is a demonstration website built by FareBookings. The terms below are an example of what a transfer company's terms look like, published so the demo is complete.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms would apply between DemoTransfers ("we", "us") of 2 Gordon View, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS6 4FB, and the person making a booking ("you"). Making a booking would mean accepting them.
2. Quotes and prices
- Prices shown in the booking form are for the journey exactly as entered.
- A quote becomes a fixed price once the booking is confirmed and paid.
- Changing the pickup, destination, timing, vehicle or passenger numbers may change the price.
- Extra stops, waiting beyond the allowance and cleaning charges for soiling are additional.
3. Booking and confirmation
A booking exists only once you receive a confirmation email with a reference number. Entering journey details or leaving the booking form part-way through does not reserve a vehicle. Check the details on your confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
4. Payment
Payment is taken by card during the booking flow on a secure page provided by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
5. Cancellations and changes
- Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup: full refund.
- Cancel between 24 and 4 hours before pickup: 50% refund.
- Cancel less than 4 hours before pickup, or fail to appear: no refund.
- Changes are subject to availability and any difference in price.
Cancellations and changes must be sent in writing, by email or WhatsApp, quoting your booking reference.
6. Waiting time
- Airport pickups: 60 minutes free from the actual landing time.
- All other pickups: 15 minutes free from the booked time.
- After the free period, waiting is charged in 15-minute blocks at the applicable rate.
Where a flight number is supplied, we track the arrival and adjust the pickup for a delayed flight at no extra cost.
7. Passengers and luggage
- Book the vehicle that fits your party and its luggage. A driver may refuse a load the vehicle cannot legally or safely carry.
- Child seats must be requested when booking and are subject to availability.
- Luggage travels at the owner's risk. Tell us in advance about oversized items such as bicycles, skis or musical instruments.
8. Conduct
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any vehicle. A driver may end a journey where a passenger behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive or illegal, and no refund is due in that case.
9. Delays and things outside our control
We plan journeys with sensible allowances, but we are not liable for losses caused by traffic, road closures, weather, industrial action or other events beyond our reasonable control. If you have a flight or train to catch, book a pickup time with margin to spare.
10. Liability
Our liability for a journey is limited to the fare paid for it, except where the law does not allow such a limit — including death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Lost property
Items found in a vehicle are held for 28 days. Contact us with your booking reference and a description. Return by courier is charged at cost.
12. Complaints
Email info@farebookings.com with your booking reference and what went wrong. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within fourteen.
13. The booking system
Booking, pricing, payment handling and driver dispatch on this website are provided by FareBookings. Their terms and privacy policy govern that software; these terms cover the transfer itself.
14. Data protection
Personal data is handled as set out in our privacy policy.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
